Matthew & Kaylee Monserrate
Chateau Vista Show Jumpers
Matt Monserrate established Team Monserrate Equestrian to represent a top international importing sales business offering talented warmblood hunter jumper and equitation prospects to professionals and equestrian enthusiasts within America. With critically keen eyes for horses, he has helped the team to focus much of their time establishing connections abroad refining skills in buying and selling exceptional hunter jumper athletes with proven bloodlines, bringing top European quality warmbloods from overseas to within your reach.
Along with his love for international business, Matt's vision accompanied a heart for teaching people of all ages and needs in many different avenues at his home base, Chateau Vista Farm. Matthew also works with the breeding team at Chateau Vista Farm and has established a top warmblood breeding facility, producing the finest selection of international-level prospects. Matthew’s goal was to also reach out to the equestrian community to make the largest of dreams come true through a handful of non-profit start-ups around the metro. With the newest addition of a boutique farm location under the name of Chateau Vista Show Jumpers, Matthew could continue making an impact within the community while offering a collection of quality American-based horses available as an American Elite sporthorse boutique under Chateau Vista Show Jumpers. With his respectable eye on the ground, Matthew not only; caters to top riders with warmblood imports under Team Monserrate Equestrian, runs Chateau Vista Farm's warmblood breeding operation, has a well-developed group of available boutique American-based, competition horses under Chateau Vista Show Jumpers, he has developed a performance-specific training and shoeing schedule for the competition horses and entire Chateau Vista Team as sole-owner and trained Farrier of Equisport Forge and Farriery.
With husband Matthew Monserrate, Kaylee Monserrate helped develop Team Monserrate Equestrian through similar visions of international marketing and sales catering to the needs of North American Show Jumping by campaigning quality available Warmbloods in the Open rings when she was a professional rider. From the early age of six, Kaylee’s journey as a rider rose from showing Arabians, being a western reining competitor, riding through levels in Dressage learning from various masters including Conrad Schumacher, to finally competing on the National “AA” Hunter Jumper circuit as an amateur and a professional. Kaylee has had the opportunity to ride, work, and train under many well-known hunter jumper professionals. After working at Maffitt Lake Farms in Cumming, Iowa, Kaylee flew down under to New Zealand to train privately with 1988 Seoul, Korea, Olympic Show Jumping Individual Silver Medalist, Greg Best at his farm Sliverstream in Hawke's Bay, New Zealand.
Upon her return to the States, Kaylee took a working student position under top German Grand Prix and World Cup Qualified rider Wilhelm Genn at Rheinland Farm in Lebanon, Ohio. After two years, and to continue her college education, Kaylee took a position under professionals Richard and Catherine Rinehart of Rinehart Farm in Westfield, Indiana as an assistant professional. There for six years, Kaylee was able to enhance her skills riding, showing, and teaching while also flying overseas to find quality imports.
